Farewell my friends

Time has come to say good bye for now ...Who would have thought 15 IBMers with varied skills and cultures coming from all around the world would come together and form such a strong and united team. Our deliverables reflect that !!!

Dear Turkey Team 8 I've enjoyed your company , your friendship and fun times we have shared. I'm simply delighted and honoured to be part of the CSC Turkey Team 8 and that I've had this opportunity to make such great life long friends.

IBM Team hits page six of Turkish Telegraf and few other papers

So final week is here and our deliverables are to be presented this week at multiple forums. We work most of the weekend so we can leave best possible outcomes for our hosts and best first impressions of IBM.

Now time for packing and one more round of presentations in Istanbul before this fantastic team and now friends depart.

Last Friday's Community Day

Fri noon we headed out to EÇEV (Ege Çağdaş Eğitim Vakfı) which is a school for under privileged children up in the hilly region of Izmir. We met some most beautiful and smart children.

We shared some pictures from our own countries and got them to guess where each one of us was from. To my shock I got as far as my first slide "Vegemite" and one little bloke said Australia. I planned to show the Harbour Bridge , the Opera House and lot more but the kid was way too smart and not only did he guess  Australia but every other country just about. So of course he got the most gifts..

After introductions and motivational speeches ,  we taught them some team building activities, tricks and and finally Antonio and Iliana (Mexican team) had the teachers and children Salsa dancing . To see the children's smiles , passion for life and learning new things was very rewarding and we all walked away feeling great.
